General Course Description
The lecture can be roughly divided into two parts. Details are shown below.
Part one: the principles of obligations

4. The theory to obligations and right to claim
5. The structure and revision of the law of obligations
6. The modification of the law of the obligations
Part two: the general provisions of the contract law
1. Freedom of contract
2. Classification of contract
3. Stipulation of contract
4. Effects of contract
5. Enforcement of contract
6. Breach of contract
7. Joint and several obligations
8. Obligation for damage and compensation
9. Extinction of obligations

課程目標 |
Course Objectives
The instructor will help students to understand the regulations and relating cases for principles of obligation and general provisions of contract. Apart from regulation interpretation, the course will put an emphasis on case analysis, including judgments from the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal, and several District Courts. It is hoped that students would grasp the practice of law as soon as possible, learn to think independently, and develop the capacity to deal with practical cases with the application of abstractive regulation.
